Voting

I voted last weekend on Saturday. I waited for two hours to get it done. It was worth it but I had to think that there could have been a better way. Hey, voting is one of the things that makes this great country...GREAT. So, why have lines waiting around the building? Why not put more resources in the voting process. It is well worth the effort considering how vital the process is to our way of life.

This two party system is starting to take the entire nation in the wrong direction. There are way too many people that vote along party lines, regardless of how dreadful a candidate may be in the party that are supporting. There are too many people voting on one single issue, as opposed to voting based on a total philosophy.  I am stunned at how many people vote, but even more stunned at how many people don't vote, or vote for a guy for the wrong reasons.

I also learned some new words this election cycle. Words like - voter suppression, voter under-education, voter mis-education, and voter fraud. At the end of the day, I am still proud that we can vote in open elections. This country is a great country. yes, it has lots and lots of flaws, and people at extremes that continue to pose a threat from within. but its still a work in progress so voting is well worth the wait because its a part of the process.

Until next time, Be cool.
